The Kournikova gallery was set up in 1995, built its own profound exhibition space in 2004 in the Moscow region, and in 2012 moved to its new premises at Sechenovsky Lane, 2.
The gallery focuses on the Russian modernism, - P. Tchelitchew, A. Lanskoy, N. Tarkhov, S. Sorin, M. Dobuzhinsky, A. Lentulov, L. Chupyatov, etc.,“non-conformists” – V. Weisberg, B. Sveshnikov, V. Sitnikov, A. Kharitonov, Y. Cooper. The gallery deals with selected contemporary artists reworking modernist tradition – I. Lubennikov, A. Lantsev.
The Kournikova gallery has launched dozens of high-ranking shows and published about 30 catalogues. Many of the projects were carried out in collaboration with a number of the Russian museums, mutually enriching the exhibitions.
